SISTERING will join WWKiP day Toronto Edition as a special guest at the High Park event. They’ll be on hand to tell you more about their organization.

Donations of yarn will be accepted for their textile studio Spun Studio - Sistering’ s newest social enterprise program, offering women training in sewing, knitting and micro business development; building community, a sense of belonging and increased self worth and self esteem.

StreetKnit Project is Coming

StreetKnit Project, the grassroots organization that knits for those that have no home, will be celebrating WWKiP day with us in High Park on June 9.

Come by and see them –they’ll be accepting donations and have yarn and needles available if you want to join us for some very public knitting!

What can you donate? Knitted accessories such as scarves, hats and socks are always welcome. Or you can donate yarn - acrylic is particularly good for blankets.

A selection of project bags with knitting goodness inside (thank’s to Knit-O-Matic for the goodies) will be given away on WWKIP day this year.

The longer you stay, the more chances to win.

We’ll have prizes !

WWKiP Toronto Edition will have door prizes !

Here’s how it works. Everyone that comes to WWKiP Toronto Edition in High Park will get one ticket (and only one) for the draw. Every half hour from 11:30 am to 4 pm a ticket will be drawn. But you have to be there to collect your prize. Otherwise, another ticket will be drawn.

The earlier you come, the longer you stay, the better your chances!

It’s official … this year’s T.O. Edition of WWKiP will take place in High Park on Sunday, June 9, 2013.

The official days for WWKIP are June 8-16, 2013. Our current thinking is to have our event on Saturday June 8 or Sunday June 9.
